Mrs. Catherine Wicks died Thursday in her hold home where she had been moved 
recently.  

Catherine Shumway was born 89 years ago and after her marriage lived many 
years on the farm one mile east and south of Pewamo.  Her husband, Simeon 
Wicks, and oldest son, George, preceded her in death.  She is survived by two 
daughters, Mrs. Frances Gee and Mrs. George Plummer, and one son, Caleb.  She 
had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Plummer, after the death of her grandson 
several ago.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at one o’clock and burial was in 
North Plains cemetery.

Note:  There is a handwritten notation on the obituary stating burial was in 
Lyons Cemetery.
