Ionia County News - Thursday, April 20, 1950

Mrs. Josephine Wieczorek, 92, died at her home, 317 Colby St. Wednesday 
afternoon, April 19, after more than a year of illness.

She was born in Poland, Feb. 28, 1858, and came to Michigan when she was 16 
years old. The family located in Detroit and she was married there to 
Michael Wieczorek in 1877. Mr. and Mrs. Wieczorek came to Ionia from Detroit 
65 years ago and she had lived in the home on Colby St. for 65 years. Mr. 
Wieczorek died there in October, 1922.

Surviving Mrs. Wieczorek are four sons, Stanley, Edward, Wilford and Michael 
and one daughter, Mrs. Julia Swartz, all of Ionia, 23 grandchildren, 24 
great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral will be from SS. Peter and Paul Church at 9:00 o'clock Monday 
morning, April 24, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
