Sentinel-Std. -  Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1943

Mrs. Rose Wieczorek, 80 of 344 Colby street, died Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 
o'clock at the home of her son, James Wieczorek, 913 Berkley street, Grand 
Rapids, where she had been visiting. She had been in poor health for many 
months.

She was born  in 1864, in Posen, Poland, and came to the United States at 
the age of 16. She had lived with an aunt in Pennsylvania for a short time 
before moving to Detroit.

She was married in Detroit to John Wieczorek and the couple lived there for 
one year before moving to Ionia. Her husband preceded her in death 17 years 
ago.

Surviving are four sons, James and Joseph of Grand Rapids, Frank of Ionia 
and Frederick of Detroit; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Nowland of Mt. 
Pleasant, Mrs. Bernard Martin and (??????) of Detroit and Mrs. (????) 
Wellman of Ferndale; 24 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

The Bradley funeral home will announce arrangements later.
