                              EDWARD WIECZOREK SR.

A lifelong Ionia resident, Edward F. Wieczorek Sr., 76, of 41 Stevenson place 
died early Friday morning at his home following an extended illness.

Born in Ionia May 8, 1898, he was the son of Michael and Josephine Skomska 
Wieczorek. He was a member of the SS Peter & Paul Church and attended the SS 
Peter & Paul Academy.

He had worked in the car shops in Ionia and also was employed as a welder at 
Ypsilanti Reed Furniture Company and the Ionia Manufacturing Company. He retired 
nine years ago.

January 21, 1922, he was married at Ss Peter & Paul church to Minto Nickols and 
they made their home in Ionia living the past 33 years at the present address.

Survivors besides the wife, Minto, include a son, Edward,Jr., of Ionia and 
daughter, Mrs.Virginis Steele of Flora Vista, N.M.; six grandchildren and four 
great-grandchildren; and a brother, Michael Sr. of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m at Ss Peter & Paul Church. Fr.Edward 
Orlowski will officiate and interment will be at Mt.Olivet Cemetery.
