Donald “Tiger” J. Wier Jr., 53, of Belding, passed away suddenly on Tuesday,
Dec. 19, 2006, in Grand Rapids.  He was born Dec. 18, 1953, in Grand Rapids to
Donald J. Sr. and Constance D. Williams Wier.

Tiger was raised in Comstock Park and attended Comstock Park Public Schools
graduating with the class of 1972.  On March 25, 1995 in Comstock Park, Tiger
married the love of his life, Jodi Kay Blumber.  Tiger worked at Ryerson Metals
in Wyoming as a supervisor for four years.  He had many hobbies, including
spending time with family, hunting, fishing, riding quads, traveling and working
around the house with his son, Chris.  He loved planting his wife’s flowers
around their home and gardening with his daughter, Allie-Cat.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Wanda Wier.  Tiger is survived by
his wife, Jodi; his parents; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jennifer and
Bob Davis of Douglas, Wyo., Mindy and Rick Carroll of Hunting, Texas, Allison
Wier of Belding; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jason and Shelly Wier of
Gowen, Brandon and Summer Wier of Bozeman, Mont., Christopher Wier of Belding;
six grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Ronald and Lori Wier of
Cedar Springs, Terry Wier of Wyoming; one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and
Richard Emerson of Belding; and many nieces, nephews and friends.  

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Ashley Baptist Church, Belding, with
Pastor David Oliver officiating.  Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at
Huffman-Brigham Funeral Chapel, Belding,  Memorial contributions may be made to
the family for the children’s education.
