Wigfield, 89, of Saranac passed away Aug. 5, 2001 at his home. He was born Oct. 23, 1911 in Pennsylvania, the son of Albert and May (Studt) Wigfield. He was a graduate of Clarksville and farmed all of his life. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and a member of Calvary Grace Brethren Church in Alto. He is survived by his children, Marie (Michael) McNeal of Binghamton, N.Y., Richard (Lynn) Wigfield of Saranac, Norma (David) Cooley of Blytheville, Ark., and Owen (Mary) Wigfield of Saranac; grandchildren, Sean (Jamie) McNeal, Bruce (Lindy) Wigfield, Dawn (Perry) Moore, Craig (Melissa) Fosburg, David Colley, Jr., Adam Wigfield, Amy Wigfield and Nick Wigfield; brother, Wade “Bill” Wigfield of Battle Creek; and sister, Veneta Terrell of Saranac. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53, Ernestine in 1996; and two sisters, Lola Bartlett and Esta Burns. Funeral services for Thaddeus will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Calvary Grace Brethren Church in Alto with Rev. Mick Funderburg officiating. Interment South Boston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
