Lake Odessa Wave - Friday April 28, 1899

Emory Wight, age 20, a son of Mr.and Mrs.Seth Wight, of North Odessa, who has 
been living with his uncle at Chelsea for some time, met with a terrible accident 
last Sunday, which later resulted in death. He and a companion were catching on 
trains as they passed up a grade, about three miles west of Chelsea. He tried it 
once too often and slipped and fell under the cars and was terribly mangled and 
crushed. The remains were brought here Wednesday afternoon, and the funeral held 
at the home of Mr and Mrs Geo. Walters immediately after, and the remains were 
interred in Lakeside cemetery.
