Aged Belding Resident Dies

James H. Wightman, 86, died Sunday at the home of his son Arthur Wightman, with 
whom he had lived the past four years.

Mr. Wightman was born September 9, 1855, in Erie county, New York, and came to 
Michigan about 60 years ago.  He served as a section foreman for the P.M.R.R. 
company, in the Shelby and Thomsonville districts for over forty years.

Surviving besides the son Arthur are, Clarence and James Jr., of Battle Creek; 
one daughter, Mrs. Gale Newald of Detroit; three grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.

Funeral services were held Tuesday; a short prayer service at the Fales Funeral 
Home, and regular funeral services at 2:00 in the Congregational church at 
Thompsonville, with burial in Thompsonville cemetery beside his wife who died 
17 years ago.
