Wiinikainen, 68, of Lake City died Wednesday, February 28, 1996 at the home of her daughter Cindra Kreiger in Fruitport. She was born December 10, 1927 in Ionia, the daughter of H. Homer and Iva (Ludwick) Fletcher. She attended school in Lyons and Muskegon Heights. She was a member of the Lake City O.E.S. Chapter #179, a charter member of the Lake City Eagles #3884 and a member of the M.H.H.A. She is survived by two daughters; Sue (Richard) Brenner, of Alma and Cindra (Michael) Krieger, of Fruitport; brother Louis (Elizabeth) Fletcher, of Crystal; step-children; Brenda (Don) Hower, of Lake City, Dallas (Gail) Wiinikainen of McBain and Vonna (Keith) Gillow, of Traverse City; 10 step- grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Frank and husband Carl. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 2, 1996 at 1 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Merritt Bongard officiating. There will be an Eastern Star Service on Friday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Interment will be in the Lake City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Hospice of Ottawa County.
