The Ionia Daily Standard, Saturday, January 5, 1901

Stephen J. Wilber, aged 72, of Keene, near Easton line, died about 4 o’clock 
yesterday afternoon, after only about two hours sickness.  He had been a 
resident of that section of county for 45 years.  He leaves a wife and four 
children.  He was a brother of Mrs. Chas. H. Chambers of this city.  Funeral 
services at Easton church, at 2 p.m. Sunday.
