Ionia Daily Sentinel, 24 Jul 1946

Dorothy Steele Wilberts, 35, died at the home of her father, east of Prairie 
Creek early Wednesday morning very suddenly with a heart attack.

She was born May 15, 1911, in Orange township.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Steele; a sister, Mrs. 
Bessie Carten; a brother, Amos Steele, and a nephew and a niece all of Ionia.

Funeral services will be held from the Myers funeral home Friday at 2 o’clock 
with interment at Highland Park cemetery.

Mrs. Wilberts was employed at the Martha Washington Café.  She had gotten up 
during the night and her mother found her lying on the back lawn early 
Wednesday morning.  Coroner Harry Myers was called and also Deputy Sheriff Leo 
Fuller.  There will be no inquest.
