He was well known in Ionia as a former operator in the D., G.R. & W. train dispatcher’s office here, and he was a genial and thoroughly well liked gentleman. He was feeble for a year before his death, but only relinquished work some three months ago, or shortly after, the removal of the train dispatcher’s force to Grand Rapids. He was a member of Ionia lodge No. 36 F.&A.M. of this city, attaining the rank of master mason in June last. The funeral will be on Sunday, at Howell. A special train will be run from this city, and quite a number of Masons and railroad men will attend the funeral.
