Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 27 May 1957

Harry H. Wilcox, 73, of 506 Nicholson street, Ionia, died of a heart attack
Saturday afternoon at his home.  He had been doorman at the Ionia Theatre for
ten years, retiring a few years ago.  Born June 11, 1883, in Danby township, he
was a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Wilcox and was a member of the Portland
Methodist church.  His wife, Nellie died in October of 1956.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Helen Melistead of Portland, Mrs. Ethelyn
Feehan of Ionia, Mrs. Leta Wickerink of Leslie, Mrs. Dorothy Kissane of Portland
and Mrs. Frances  Adams of Muir; three sons, Ernest J. of Saginaw, Howard R. and
Ivan A. both of Portland, 26 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three
sisters, Mrs. Lena Gardner and Mrs. Orva Gardner of Lowell and Mrs. Sadie
Wolscheid of Portland.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Neller funeral home
in Portland with the Rev. Park Newcombe officiating.  Burial will be in Danby
cemetery.
