He was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Ionia County, the son of Royal and Edith Wilcox. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and was formerly employed at General Tire in Ionia and the Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons. At the time of his death he was a foreman at Lescoa Manufacturing in Grand Rapids. He had also operated a service station at Palo. He was a member of Sheridan VFW Post 5065. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Wilcox of St. Johns; four brothers, LaVern of Bath, William of California, Marion of White Cloud, and Royal Jr. of Grand Rapids; five sisters, Kathleen Wolfe of Houghton Lake, Mary Shoemaker of Lake Odessa, Alice Crater of North Hollywood, Calif., Marjorie Hershey of Pontiac and Edith Doughtery of Livonia. One sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from Muir Christian Church, with the Rev. John Musser of Muskegon officiating. Burial will be in Muir Cemetery. The body will repose at Hull Memorial Chapel until noon Monday.
