The Portland Review, Thursday, May 2, 1940

Allen Wilcox, 47, who lived his entire life in Danby and who only a month ago 
was elected supervisor of that township, passed away at his home Saturday 
morning.  He had been in ill health for several months but continued to work 
on his farm until a few weeks ago.

He was married in 1913 to Miss Sarah Hay, who survives as do six children: 
Mrs. Edward Cody, Grand Ledge; Donald of Detroit; Mrs. Terry Warder, Portland; 
Arnold, Stewart and Lois at home. 

Services were held at the Bandfield chapel Monday afternoon in charge of Rev. 
Mr. Jacobs of Eagle, with burial in the Danby cemetery.  Bearers were Harold 
Graft, Ford McCrumb, William Morgridge, and Isador Rocka.
