Wilcox, 81, of Portland died March 16, 1993 in Grand Rapids. She was born in Portland on Oct. 17, 1911, the daughter of Horace and Edith (Soule) Atwell. She was a life member of the Portland United Methodist Church and life member and past worthy matron of the Portland Chapter #258 O.E.S. She is survived by two daughters, Joan (Richard) Arnold of Big Rapids and Constance (Winifred) May of Portland; 14 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great- grandchild; and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, and one sister, Norma Sandborn. Eastern Star services were held March 18. Funeral services were held March 19 at Neller Chapel in Portland, with the Rev. Stanley Finkbeiner of the Northlawn United Methodist Church of Grand Rapids officiating. Casket bearers were Jeffrey Arnold, Richard Arnold, Howard Fox, Donald May, Roger May, and James Fox. Interment in the Danby Cemetery.
