The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, March 12, 1958

Mrs. Lena M. Wilcox, 88, died at Battle Creek Wednesday morning.  She had been 
ill for the past five years.  She was born August 11, 1869 at Woodland.  Her 
husband, Eugene, preceded her in death in 1912.  Mrs. Wilcox was a member of 
the First Baptist church of Ionia and of Burton Heights Baptist church of 
Grand Rapids.

Surviving are two sons, Ernest E. Wilcox of Grand Rapids and Dr. Cecil O. 
Wilcox of Battle Creek, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers 
funeral home.  The Rev. Clarence A. Lawton of Burton Heights Baptist church 
will officiate.  Interment is to be in Highland Park cemetery.

Funeral service for Mrs. Lena Wilcox, 88, who died at Battle Creek Wednesday, 
was held Friday afternoon at the Myers funeral home  The Rev. Clarence H. 
Lawton of Grand Rapids officiated, and interment was in Highland Park cemetery.

Bearers were Ormison Hilborn, Hiram Darling, Harmon Rinker, James Roberts, 
Ford Halsted and Harold DeBoer.
