July 23, 1986 ROYAL F. WILCOX ST.JOHNS - Royal F. Wilcox, 82, of 1102 N. Lansing St., St. Johns, died July 21, at his residence. He was born Aug. 7, 1903, in Stanton, the son of Frank and Ida Welch Wilcox. He attended Stanton Schools and lived most of his life in St. Johns. He married Edith P. Musser on May 21, 1921, in Stanton. He was a machinist with Lunberg Screw Products in Lansing and retired in 1968. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local No. 734. He is survived by his wife, Edith; four sons, Marion Wilcox of White Cloud, Royal Wilcox Jr. of Grand Rapids, William Wilcox of Fontana, Calif., and LaVern Wilcox of Bath; five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Hursey of Pontiac, Mrs. Don (Mary) Shoemaker of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Don (Alice) Crater of North Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. Jack (Kathleen) Wolve of Houghton Lake, and Mrs. James (Edith) Daugherty of Livonia; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Irene Erwin and Dorothy Wilcox, and one son, Richard Wilcox. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Osgood Funeral home in St. Johns. Burial will be in Bloomer Center Cemetery, with the Rev. Thomas Peters officiating. Additional Comments: Bloomer Cem.
