"Jack" Wilcox of Lansing, died January 5, 2018-age 87 Born at Ionia, MI April 6, 1930 to son of Clair and Elsie (Wanink) Wilcox. Know as "Jack" to family & friends, & "Geep" to his great-grandchildren. Graduated at Ionia High School 1948, attended Central Michigan University. Served U.S. Army during Korean war. Married April 18, 1953 to Doris Kohn of Capac, Michigan Retired 1990 after 41 years with Oldsmobile Division of General Motors Active in Boy Scouts at the District and Council levels. Traveled, volunteered with the Red Cross, AARP, Neighborhood watch. Member of Mayflower Congregation Church and avid member of Motor City Rockets, an Oldsmobile enthusiast club. Preceded in death by his wife, Doris. Survived by daughter, sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service Friday January 12, at 11:00 a.m at Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, Visitation Thursday January 11, at 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service.
