The Ionia County News, Thursday, September 16, 1943


Mrs. Harry Wilcox passed away very suddenly of a heart attack, September 8.  
Mrs. Wilcox had always lived in Portland township.  She was married in 1900.  
She is survived by her husband and eight children.  They are Mrs. Clifford 
Melstead and Ivan Wilcox of Portland; Howard Wilcox of Danby; Ernest Wilcox, 
Port Huron; Mrs. Evelyn Feehan, Mrs. Leta Wickerink, Miss Frances Wilcox, of 
Ionia, and Mrs. Dorothy Kissane, Garden City.

Funeral services were held at Bandfield’s Chapel, Saturday at 2:30, with Rev. 
George Stanford of the Methodist church officiating and burial was in the 
Danby township cemetery.
