Ionia Standard, Friday, March 4, 1904
Walter Wilder died at Mesick, Wexford County, Monday of pneumonia.  Walter had 
been driving the Palo stage during the sickness of his brother Charles, but 
was recently relieved, and started to visit friends at Mesick.  He was held up 
two days on the road, and on his arrival pneumonia developed with fatal 
results.  Walter was a son of Nelson Wilder of Palo, was about 25 years old 
and unmarried. Remains will arrive here tonight and funeral will be a Palo 
tomorrow afternoon.
