Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Mon. Sept. 20, 1948

Funeral services for Charles F. Wilder, former Palo postmaster, who died 
Thursday evening, were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Palo 
Baptist church, following a prayer service at the Boynton funeral home in Ionia 
at 12:30. The Rev. Lewis Herrick officiated and interment was in Palo cemetery, 
in the family lot. 

Mrs. Blanche Tasker of Palo sang. Palo lodge, F. and M. attended in body.

Bearers were: Pearl Hall, George Fitzgerald, Arthur Patrick and Clare Wright.

From away to attend the services were Mr. and Mrs. Robert McKim of Lansing, 
Victor Gauss of Detroit, Manley Samson and Mrs. and Mrs. Ben Cool of Mt. 
Clemens.
