July 19, 1950 BELDING- William Foster Wilder, 78, died Tuesday at 5:20 p.m. at Belding city hospital of a heart ailment. He was found Sunday afternoon by his granddaughter on the floor of his home where he had presumably suffered a heart attack. He was removed immediately to the hospital. Wilder was born Feb. 14, 1872, in Gratiot county and had made his home for 44 years in Belding at 703 West Ellis Avenue. He was a former employee of the Pere Marquette railroad and more recently had worked for the Belding-Hall Refrigerator company. He was a former I. O. O. F. member. He was married to Mrs. Olive Hale Beattie of Gratiot county in 1905. She died in 1926. Surviving are two step-daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hurley of Belding and Mrs. Belle Cress of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Chas of Muir, Ralph of Edmore and Clyde of Lansing. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Fitzjohn funeral home in Belding with interment in River Ridge cemetery.
