Harold (Hod) M. Wilder, 82, of 667 Union street, died Friday morning at 
Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born January 3, 1896 in Boone, 
Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wilder and had been a resident of Ionia 
for 58 years.  He was married January 5, 1915 in Iowa, and his wife, Dora, 
preceded him in death March 24, 1971.

Mr. Wilder was formerly employed as a retail and wholesale salesman, last 
employed by Berger Motor Sales.  He was also a former member of the Lion and 
Elks.

Survivors include three sons, William of Gilmore City, Iowa and Charles and 
Gerald of Wyoming; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services are Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Myers-Roetman funeral home with Rev. 
Russell Brandt of Wyoming Presbyterian church officiating.  Burial is in 
Highland Park cemetery.  A memorial fund is established for the Heart Fund.  
The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Sunday and 
Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
