The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, August 29, 1945


Carl Warren Wilder, 78, died August 28, at 4:50 p.m. in the Ionia County 
Memorial hospital after a brief illness.  He entered the hospital at 11 
o’clock the same morning.

Mr. Wilder was born in Muir December 28, 1866, and lived in Muir and Crystal.  
The latter part of his life had been spent in Ionia, and for the last month he 
lived at the Muir Convalescent home. 

He is survived by three children, Mrs. Glenn Mason and Martin Wilder of Ionia, 
and Mrs. Otto Durbin of Crystal; seven grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.  One grandson, Pfc. Verle Mason, is in the army air forces at 
Stinson Field, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Myers funeral home.  The 
Rev. Melbourne Stadt will officiate and burial will be in the family lot at 
Crystal.
