Five Year Old Child Killed On Highway
Rustin R. Wildman 5, of Jordan Lake Highway, Lake Odessa met accidental death 
Saturday, August 28, at about 3:20 p.m. in the afternoon when he ran in front of 
a car driven by Eugene Van Siclen, 22 of Lake Odessa.

Coroner Dale Kaufman of Ionia was called and State Police investigated the 
accident. The little boy was dead at the scene.

Services for Rustin Wildman were held Tuesday,  August 31st at 1:30 p.m. at 
Pickens Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa with burial in Lakeside cemetery.

he is native of Ionia county and the son of Robert and Maxine Wildman. Other 
survivors are two brothers, Randy, 6 and Raymond, 10 months. The paternal 
grandparents, Mr and Mrs Virgil Wildman of Lake Odessa, the maternal grandfather 
James Leiby of Lansing and the maternal grandmother Mrs.Grace Leiby of 
Middleton.
