Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 15 Feb 1954

Elmer Ellsworth Wiles, 61, died Sunday at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital
after being a patient there for three days.  He was born Oct. 18, 1892 at Muir
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiles.  He lived most of his life in Ionia.  He
was married to Nina Susan Montgomery on May 19, 1928.

Besides his wife nine up, he is survived by five children: Mrs. Andrew Walaskay
of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Melvin Harrison of Lansing, Max Wiles of Ionia and Dixie
and Robert at home, and his step-father, Richard Wayman.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Myers
funeral home.  The Rev. Eric Cash will officiate.  Burial will be in Easton
cemetery.
