The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, February 24, 1960


Mrs. Margaret J. Wiley, 86, native of Orleans township, died Monday at the 
Masonic home in Alma.  She was born on a farm in Orleans township March 23, 
1873 and had resided her entire life on the same farm until she went to the 
Masonic home four years ago. She was the daughter of Milton and Elvira Holcomb.

Mrs. Wiley is survived by three great-nephews, Paul Sutton of Berkley, Durwood 
Sutton of Central Lake, and Theron Sutton of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Funeral service will be held at the Fitzjohn funeral home in Belding Thursday 
at 2 p.m. under the auspices of the Doric Chapter 75 OES.  The Rev. Luther 
Brokaw, pastor of Belding Central Methodist church, will officiate.  Interment 
will be at River Ridge cemetery.

Funeral service for Mrs. Margaret J. Wiley, 86, native of Orleans township who 
died February 22 at the Masonic home in Alma, was held Thursday at the 
Fitzjohn funeral home in Belding.  Services were under the auspices of Doric 
Chapter OES.

The Rev. Luther Brokaw, pastor of Belding Central Methodist church, officiated 
and interment was at River Ridge cemetery.  Bearers were William Bulholz, 
George Farthing, Ronald Bush, Perry Outman, Wallace Updyke and Bert Snow.
