F. Wilkinson Dies After half-hour of Illness At Grandson’s Health Seemed Good Was Well Known Throughout Entire Township Mrs. Jennie Wilkinson, widow of the late B. F. Wilkinson, died suddenly at the home of her grandson, Floyd Sparks, in Keene township, Friday night as a result of acute indigestion. Mrs. Wilkinson, during the day, had been in splendid health, and had been visiting at the home of her son, Milton Wilkinson, Saranac hardware dealer. Mr. Wilkinson had taken his mother to the Sparks home to spend the rest of the day. While there she was taken with an attack of indigestion and died within a half hour, before medical aid could reach her. Mrs. Wilkinson was one of the best known women in the township and was famous throughout the district for her hospitality. Her splendid big home was at nearly all times the center of community activities with which she was closely allied. She was very prominent and active in affairs of the Keene Grange and of the Methodist church of Keene, of which she was a member. She was born in Saranac May 2, 1855, but commonly was thought to be a woman much younger because of her splendid health and youthful appearance. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died three years ago after the couple had been married 54 years. Mrs. Wilkinson is survived by two sons, Dr. M. B. Wilkinson and Milton Wilkinson; one daughter, Mrs. George Golds, North Keene; seven grandchildren; and three brothers, Chadwick Lee, Saranac, Elmer Lee, Leslie, Mich., and Elvert Lee, Bailey. Funeral services will be held from the home of Floyd Sparks Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Saranac.
