Wilkinson were shocked Saturday to hear of his sudden death at Lansing. Clare, who was sixty years old, was born and educated in Saranac. He graduated from high school with the class of 1901 and later graduated from Ferris Institute as pharmacist. He was employed in the A. W. Huntley drug store here until his marriage to Miss Beatrice Lee, after which they moved to Northport where he had charge of a drug store, and later to St. Johns. In 1917 he came to Lansing to work for the Roush Drug Co. and has been affiliated with that company since. Mr. Wilkinson was ill during Friday night and was taken to a Lansing hospital where he passed away at six o’clock Saturday morning of cerebral hemorrhage without regaining consciousness. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Jeanne Huffman, of Lansing; four grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Edna Murtaugh, of Detroit. Funeral rites and burial were at Lansing Tuesday afternoon at one o’clock.
