Willard, 75, a retired professor of Northwestern Business school, died Tuesday morning at his home at 723 Emerson street, Evanston, Ill. He was born March 4, 1886 in Ionia, the son of Alonzo and Huldah Willard, and had resided in Evanston the past 41 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Scheidt Willard; two sons, Kester of Western Springs, Ill, and Kenneth of Los Altos, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. John F. (Jenevieve) Strickler of Bellvue, Wash; six grandchildren; a brother, Eldon Willard of Grand Rapids, and a sister, Mrs. Susie Rich of Okemos. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Myers funeral home The Rev. Howard Bull of Saranac will officiate and interment will be at Saranac cemetery. Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock a memorial service will be conducted for Mr. Willard at Hebblethwaite funeral home in Evanston. Dr. James McLeod, dean of Northwestern university, will conduct the service.
