Belding Banner, 8 Jul 1909

After several week’s illness Mary M. Willets passed away at the home of Freeman 
Kilbourne, July 1, 1909.

She was born in Washtenaw county, Michigan, February 7, 1840, coming with her 
parents to Otisco, Ionia county, at an early age.  After the death of her 
parents she passed the most of her life around Smyrna and Greenville.  She 
leaves one sister, the last of the family to grieve her departure, also one 
niece and three nephews and other near and dear friends.

The funeral was held from the home of Mr. Kilbourne Saturday afternoon July 3, 
at two o’clock, Foster & Ritter taking charge of the remains and Rev. Edrie 
Collins of the Congregational church of Belding officiating, Mrs. J. E. 
Ferguson of Belding, singing some very appropriate selections.
