For more than 42 years he had resided on a farm south west of the city and later near Cook’s Corners and was an honest, true friend and neighbor, well liked by all who met him. He came to this state from Ohio, having been an immigrant to this country from Germany, where he lived at a place called North Time. He was married to Christina Geiger on October 4, 1869. To this union two sons and three daughters were born. One of the boys died in infancy and a daughter died when eleven years old. Surviving are his son, Charles Donner, of Keene; Mrs. Fred Benton, of Otisco and Miss Emma Donner, of California and his wife, Mrs. Christina Donner who lives with her daughter, Mrs. Fred Benton.
