The Ionia Weekly Standard, Friday, July 26, 1907

Funeral service for this bright and promising lad, 17 years of age, son of 
Engineer Fred Williams of South Ionia, were held at the Church of Christ, at 4 
p.m. on Monday, and were largely attended by citizens generally and by the 
railroad men in a body.  Rev. G. W. Moore, pastor of the church, officiated, 
and the service was in every way appropriate and impressive.  The bearers were 
Martin Cook, Palmer Miller, Ernest Hicks, Ray Castorf, Claude Emmons, Glen 
Eddy.
