Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 13 Jan 1958

Mrs. Maude Williams, 71, of 709 West Washington street, Ionia, died Sunday
morning at St. Lawrence hospital in Lansing where she had been a patient for a
week.  Born December 18, 1886, at Breckenridge, she was a daughter of Lysander
and Hattie Pickard.  She was a clerk in the wallpaper and paint department of
former Smith & Smith store now Huber’s, for 30 years and later worked as a clerk
in Mills dry goods store in Lansing.

Surviving are a son, Harry D. Williams of Lansing; six grandchildren and two
sisters, Mrs. William (Mildred) Miner of Detroit and Mrs. Beatrice Brady of
Lansing.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Stone Kauffman
funeral home with the Rev. Floyd Emshwiller, pastor of the First Christian
church officiating.  Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
