Ionia Sentinel Standard, 29 Aug 1958

Fred L. Williams, 86, died Friday at 11:40 at the Gratiot county hospital in 
Alma, where he had been a patient the past few days.  He had been living at the 
Michigan Masonic home the past five years.

Born in Ionia county December 26, 1871, he was the son of George E. and Esther 
Williams.  He practiced law in Ionia and Belding for many years.  Mr. Williams 
was a life member of F&AM No. 36 in Ionia, Ionia Commandery No. 11, R.A.M., No. 
4, Shrine of Saladin temple in Grand Rapids, and Queen Esther Chapter OES.

He is survived by two nieces and a nephew.

Funeral service will be held at Boynton’s funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. with 
the Rev. Heath Goodwin officiating.  Graveside services will be under the 
auspices of the Masonic lodge at Highland Park cemetery.
