Beresford News, Beresford, Union Co. So. Dakota,   June 22, 1911   
Mrs. Harlam Williams 
It is with a feeling of sadness that we chronicle the death of Mrs. Harlam 
Williams which occurred Saturday morning at nine o'clock at her home east of 
Beresford.  She had been sick for five weeks, first having an attack of 
pneumonia which greatly weakened her system and other complications followed 
which was to much for a person of her years, although everything within human 
power was done to pull her through.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Gothland church, conducted 
by Rev. Shoemaker of Beresford, and interment was made at the Gothland 
Cemetery.
Mrs. William's maiden name was Miss Amanda Michel (Mickel correct spelling by 
submitter) and she was born in Crawford county, PA., being 68 years old day 
before last Christmas.  Fifty-three years ago she was married to the surviving 
husband, this taking place in Ionia county, Mich.  Later they moved to Ioa, 
settling near Hawarden.  They moved to South Dakota 26 years ago last fall.  
To them were born four children, two of whom died in their early childhood, a 
son and daughter surviving, they being George Williams of Beresford and Mrs. 
Eva Luken of Murdo.
Mrs. Williams was for fifty years a member of the church called Deciples and 
was ever consistent and faithful in her faith.  She will be missed by a large 
circle of friends as well as her relatives, who have the sincere sympathy of 
all in their great sorrow.

They lived in Ionia, Michigan prior to moving to Iowa then to Beresford, Union 
Co., South Dakota.
