Lake Odessa—Funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Pickens 
funeral chapel for Sid Fred Williams, 68, of 209 Thatcher road, Woodland.  He 
died at 9:30 Monday night at Pennock hospital in Hastings where he had been a 
patient 24 hours.  He was born October 23, 1896 in Poland and lived in Lake 
Odessa 11 years before moving to Woodland 16 years ago.

A tool and die maker, he retired in 1961 after 15 years employment at E. W. 
Bliss company in Hastings.  He was a member of Zion Lutheran church, rural 
Woodland.

Surviving are his wife, the former Rita Bouche; a daughter, Sharon G. Williams 
of Lake Odessa; four sons, Sid Williams, Jr., of Washington, D.C., M. Charles 
Williams of Lansing, Sidmond C. Williams of Woodland and James Stannard of Los 
Angeles, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

The Rev. Einar Unseth of Lutheran church will officiate and burial will be at 
Lakeside cemetery.
