Hastings Reminder - April 23, 2011


Jimmy W. Williams, age 62, of Lake Odessa, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, 
at his Woodland residence.

Jimmy was born in Vernon, AL on January 11, 1949, the son of the late Otto and 
Aileen Williams. He was raised in the Vernon, AL area and attended local 
schools there,

He was the husband of Rhonda (Buck) Williams. The couple met in 1989 and have 
enjoyed over 22 years together. Together Jimmy and Rhonda enjoyed traveling and 
visiting local parks with their Jack Russell terrier, “Penny”.

Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time fishing, especially for 
catfish. Jimmy had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make his friends and 
family laugh. Jimmy enjoyed being on the open road driving truck all over the 
United States, retiring in 1986.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Rhonda; his two daughters, 
Carrie Ann (Nicholas) Shaver, Donna M. Williams; his son, Anthony W. (Tracey) 
Williams; a sister, Linda Brewer; a half sister, Pat (Wallace) Harris, and his 
grandchildren Lelsie Ann Williams, Garrett Manning Williams, Andrew Wyatte 
Williams, Aidan Nicholas Shaver; as well as many friends which will miss him 
dearly.

He was preceded in death by his half sister, Pearlie M. Turner.

A memorial service was held in Vernon, AL on Friday, April 22, 2011.

Memorial contributions can be made directly to the family of Jimmy Wayne 
Williams.
