Williams, 82, of Saranac passed away Sept. 17, 2011 in Ionia. He was born March 17, 1929 in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Charles and Esther (Holm) Williams. He graduated from Marquette High School and received his bachelor’s degree from northern Michigan University. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Daniel married Waunella Litchfield April 28, 1972 in Lansing. She preceded him in death in 2003. He was past president of Morrison Lake Home Association. Daniel is survived by his step-daughter, Cheryl (David) Bradley of Saranac; brother, Richard (Marci) Williams of AuTrain; step grandchildren, Angela (Michael) Palombo of Arlington Heights, Ill., Theresa (Joel) Riebow of Portland and Michael (Kristi) Figg of Porter, Ind.; and step great grandchildren, Rachel, Andrew and Madalyn. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Williams, Ernest Elwood – Feb. 5, 2011 Ionia Shopper’s Guide – Feb. 8, 2011 Ernest Elwood Williams aged 72 of Saranac, passed away, February 5, 2011. He was born May 18, 1938 in Beaverton, MI, the son of Paul and Myrtle M. (Fike) Williams. Ernest is survived by his son Larry (Sheryl) Williams of Saranac, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, brother Keith (Ruth) Williams of Gladwin, sister Pauline Ketchum of Rockford.
