Ruth Williams, 76, of Belding, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Spectrum 
Health United Memorial United Hospital, Greenville.  She was born December 19, 
1930 in Orleans, the daughter of the late Mert and Isabelle Clouse Antcliff.

Ruth married Raymond J. Williams Sr., who preceded her in death in December 
1997.  She worked at Electrolux in Greenville as a supervisor retiring after 40 
years of service.  She loved to sit out in her yard in good weather and just 
relax.  She also loved going out to dinner and traveling.  You could also find 
her reading a good book and she enjoyed spending time with her family and 
grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Sr.; great-
granddaughter, Shiann Christensen; and brothers, Claude, Clyde and Alvie.  Ruth 
is survived by her daughters, Dawn and Callie Wireman of Orleans, Carla 
Christensen and Paul Blanton of Belding; son, Raymond J. Williams Jr. of 
Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Sharri and Marin Remley, Connie 
Williams, Callie Wireman, Jenny Christensen, April and Leslie Stevens; five 
great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brigham Funeral Chapel, Belinda, with 
Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating.  The family will be present to receive 
friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial 
contributions in Ruth’s name may be directed to the Asthma & Allergy Foundation 
of American-Michigan Chapter.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral 
home.  The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Brigham Funeral Chapel, 
Thomas C. Maier, director, Belding.
