Thomas was born in Belding at the old hospital on Franklin Street to Alvin and Evelyn Ward Williams and Robert Bruff. He was raised in the Belding area and attended local Belding Schools. He was self-employed, working in construction his entire life and was a mechanic. He worked with horses for Double R Ranch and his uncle in his younger years. Thomas loved mushrooming and working outdoors, but his passion was working on vehicles. Thomas is survived by one daughter, Candy (Arthur) Haigh Charlotte; two sons, Michael Allen Williams of Muskegon Heights, Robert (Cindy) Huddleston of Belding; grandchildren, Matthew Haigh, Dylan Haigh, Branna Williams, Tommy Williams, Robert Jr. Huddleston, Casey Huddleston, Courtney Huddleston, Caitlin Huddleston; sister, Barbara Rood of Greenville; two brothers Alvin Williams Jr. of Belding, George Williams of Greenville; three half-brothers, Robert Bruff, Edward Bruff, Randy Bruff; and one half-sister, Brenda Smith. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Evelyn Williams and Robert Bruff; one sister, Dianne Williams (6 months); and one great-grandson, Lane Matthew Haigh. A memorial visitation will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Brigham Funeral Chapel, Belding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brigham Funeral Chapel.
