Greenville Independent, 4 May 1858

Death of Dr. Williams.  The Gazette of last week contains an obituary notice of
Dr. Nathan Williams, of Ionia, who died in that village on the 25th ult., of a
severe and lingering disease, which he bore with exemplary fortitude and
resignation, aged 44 years and 11 months.

Dr. Williams had resided at Ionia between two and three years, during which time
he acquired the entire confidence and respect of the community, and a reputation
as a thoroughly educated and skillful physician which was not confined to the
village of his residence.  He died in the fullest confidence of the saving
efficacy of the atoning blood of Christ.
