Hastings Reminder, 12 Jan 1993

Frances C. Williams, 79, of Lake Odessa, passed away Sunday, January 3, 1993 at 
the Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital in Charlotte.

Mrs. Williams was born on November 19, 1913 in Barryton, the daughter of Grover 
and Lailah (Rubedeu) Ward.  She graduated from Alma High School and was married 
to Melvin C. Williams on November 23, 1933 in Owosso.  He preceded her in death 
on June 16, 1992.  They lived in the Alma and Owosso area before moving to the 
Lake Odessa area in 1936.

She was a member of the Lake Odessa Eastern Star and chairman of the Girl 
Scouts for several years.

Mrs. Williams is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roger (Kay) Smith of Lake 
Odessa, Vicki Vine of Lansing; three grandchildren, Jeff Cross, Jodi Brodbeck 
and Tracy Estep; three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Marguerite Robbins in 1976.

Private graveside services were held Thursday, January 7 at Lakeside Cemetery 
with Reverend George Speas officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to 
the Lake Odessa Community Library or the American Parkinson’s Disease 
Association.
