Hastings Reminder, 23 Jun 1992

Melvin C. Williams, 77 of Lake Odessa, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 1992 at 
his residence.

Mr. Williams was born on February 6, 1915 in Illinois, the son of Charles and 
Nettie Williams.  He graduated from Alma High School and was married to Frances 
Ward on November 23, 1933.  He was employed at Fisher Body for 35 years.   He 
was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Frances; two daughters, Kay Smith of Lake 
Odessa, Vicki Vine of Lansing; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Private graveside services will be held in Lakeside Cemetery, with Reverend 
George Speas officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pennock 
Building Fund or the American Heart Association.  Arrangements were made by the 
Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa.
