                   WILLIAMS

Eleanor Westbrook, Williams, age 96, of Saranac passed away July 21, 2024. She 
was born February 24, 1928 in Ionia,Michigan the daughter of Mark & Leona (Coe) 
Westbrook. Eleanor married Colin Williams November 15, 1947, in Muir, Michigan. 
Together they raised a family of 4 children.

Eleanor cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 
She had a remarkable way of making everyone in her life feel special. She was a 
woman of many talents and everything she did was met with perfection. She was a 
master quilter and seamstress, winning many awards for her fine and detailed 
workmanship. Eleanor a a member of the Saranac Community Church, Boston-Saranac 
Historical Society, Literary Club, Ionia Women's Club and the Saranac Geranium 
Guild.Eleanor was voted Mother of the Year in 1957 and was the Ionia Free Fair 
Woman of the Year in 1994. She had an unwavering faith, having been considered a 
pillar to the Saranac Community Church and took great pride providing ministry 
through her caregiver team. Eleanor will be dearly missed by all of those she 
leaves behind who loved her so much.

Surviving is her loving husband of 76 years Colin Williams of Saranac; Stephen 
(Elaine) Williams of Saranac; Kathryn Miller of Ionia; Nancy (David) Downs of 
Saranac; daughter-in-law, Adele Williams of Brighton; grandchildren,Sarah (Tom) 
ran; Katherine Williams Noah Williams (Sheena Hawn); John (Amy) Williams; 
Michele(Joe) Ciganick; Kristin(Nick) Cusack; Joel (Jennifer)Miller; Erin (Andy) 
Paiz; Allison Downs; and Nathan (Sarah) Downs; great-grandchildren, Finnley, 
Savannah, Connor, Aurora, Braxton, Kendall, Kyle, Autumn, Ashlynn, Abigail, 
Ryan,Sean,Kevin,Leah,Carter and Dawson; sister-in-law, Honor Lofstrom , several 
nieces & nephews; and special caregiver Etta Condon.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; son,Mark Williams, Siblings, 
Dorothy Bird, Thomas Westbrook, Robert Westbrook and George Westbrook and their 
spouses.

Funeral services will be held 11;00 am.Monday, July 29, 2024, at Saranac 
Community Church with Pastor Ethan Tewes officiating.Visitation will be held one 
hour prior to service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in 
Eleanor's name to Saranac Fire Department of Saranac Community Church. Funeral 
arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at
