The Ionia Sentinel, Thursday, May 2, 1895
Hon. Albert Williams received news of the death of his brother, Avery 
Williams, who died Monday at his home in the town of New Berlin, Chenango 
county, N.Y., almost 84 years of age.  He was a native of Vermont, one of the 
leading farmers of the town, been postmaster ever since March 15, 1852, and 
always a man of unquestioned integrity.  Out of a family of eight this death 
leaves Albert the only survivor, four older and three younger than himself.  
Avery had several relatives in this county; the Darbys of Campbell being also 
of them.
