Ionia County News – Thursday, 25 July 1957

William Warren Baker, 79, of Maple Rapids, and formerly of Ionia, died Tuesday 
morning, July 23, at his home.  He was united in marriage to Florence Weaver, 
April 11, 1903 in St. Johns

Surviving besides his wife, Florence, are three children, Paul of Mackinaw 
City, Dale of rural St. Johns, and Mrs. Harold (Wilma) Skinner, of 
Hubbardston.  One son Leo died in 1956.  Two brothers, Edward and Guy and two 
sisters, Mrs. Robin Carr of Fowlerville and Mrs. F. Kilbourn of Ithaca, 17 
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Friday, July 26, at the Abbott Funeral home, in 
Maple Rapids at 2:00 p.m.  Rev. George Somers will officiate and interment 
will be in the Sowle Cemetery Mausoleum.
