Ionia Standard - 2 February 1906
Alonzo Williard died at the County house, on Tuesday at the age of 80.  He had 
been an inmate for 20 years, and a resident of the county for half a century, 
being taken there from Berlin.  His trouble was mental alienation, rendering 
him incompetent of taking care of himself properly, but otherwise not of a 
serious nature.  He had no known relatives and remains were sent to Ann Arbor.
