Willicutt, who died at her farm home in Eagle township April 18, following an illness from streptococcus infection, were held Sunday in the Eagle Methodist church, in charge of Rev. F. P. Fry, with burial in Danby cemetery. Mrs. Willicutt was born in Randolph county, Indiana, March 1, 1865. When six months of age she came to Michigan with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Williams, making the trip in a wagon. The family settled on a farm in West Sebewa, where she spent her childhood. At the age of 16 years she moved with her parents to Danby township. At the age of 18 she was united in marriage to Charles Phillips, of Danby. To this union one daughter was born who still survives her. Mr. Phillips died in April, 1921. On May 29, 1929, Mrs. Phillips was united in marriage to Charles Willicutt, residing one and one-half miles south and west of Eagle village, where her death occurred. She is survived by the husband and daughter, Mrs. Bertha Dean; two grandsons, Forest and Kenneth Dean; one granddaughter, Lois Dean; one step-son, Murl Willicutt, and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Willicutt was one of a family of eight children, seven daughters and one son, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Rebecca Brown, of Grand Ledge; Mrs. Caroline Coe and Mrs. Lena Brooks, of Portland; Mrs. Emma Tarkinson, of Battle Creek; Mrs. Hattie Graft, of Danby; Mrs. Eva Babbitt, of Eagle, and John Williams, of Sebewa.
